Seemage Path Planning offers an innovative solution for accessibility and serviceability studies through an OEM agreement with Kineo CAM.
Sophia Antipolis, June, 14 2006 – Seemage, the emerging leader on the Mockup, Visualization and Publishing (MVP) market today entered into an OEM agreement with Kineo CAM, the leading provider of analytical software solutions for accessibility and serviceability studies of components and subassemblies of industrial products.
With this agreement, Seemage customers will have access to an integrated solution that will automatically create assembly and disassembly paths for parts and subassemblies to avoid collisions with the rest of the assembly. These paths guarantee the ability to access components within the assembly to service or repair them. This automated solution enables designers to process a larger number of components early in the product lifecycle and to avoid costly logistical and servicing problems in retooling and reworking when not detected early enough. This solution will be known as Seemage Path Planning.
Seemage Path Planning will integrate the Kineo CAM software within Seemage Mockup, its digital mockup software, and within Publisher, its software for animation and technical illustrations in 2D/3D. Seemage Path Planning will be available with the release 3.2 of Seemage MVP on July 1, 2006.
”The integration of KineoWorksTM within our solutions will enable our customers to benefit from the innovative and advanced technology of Kineo CAM,” says Eric Piccuezzu, CEO, Seemage. “We are committed to providing rich functions to all the users of a company, including non-experts. The results will be available for review in the free Seemage Player, which streamlines sharing of these complex data in a simple way throughout the enterprise.”
“MVP products from Seemage have a strong technological content while they are acknowledged by the users for their power and user friendliness: there is a great similitude with KineoWorksTM that will be appreciated by the Seemage Path Planning users,” comments Laurent Maniscalco, CEO, Kineo CAM.
